In a new study for Bahrain Centre for Studies in London (BCSL), under the title of “The Future of Bahrain’s Uprising: the Saudi role, plus regional and international bets”, Dr. HamzaAlHasan, a Saudi researchers explains that Bahraini opposition in its both wings (revolutionary and reformist) has not given enough attention to its allies, parties, states, nations, and the political, religious and social forces in achieving its goal. He also pointed that Al Wefaq focused somehow on the Western position, their pressure, and the reduced marginal size for maneuver available to it. He has also noted that the opposition estimationsof the Saudi role in the conflict with Al-Khalifa family were very stumpy. And he considered that the Bahraini opposition has not made an effort at the Gulf level; nor the Islamic level, as a convincing effort by Al Wefaq has not been recorded, except for the initial attempts started with Turkey,which ended by Turkey being pulled out towards the other option in favor of Saudi Arabia. He concluded stating that without a shift in the mobility of the Bahraini street, the regional role shall be enlarged at the expense of the key players in the street. This lesson is to be taken in consideration, in order to come out with a solution to the Bahraini crisis, whether in accordance toAl Wefaq goal or by other opposition parties, which wants to overthrow the regime.
